LIVE SHOW NEWS: VSI Labs launches AV technology sponsorship programme
VSI Labs (Stand AV2002), a research company for AV and ADAS technology, used the first day of Autonomous Vehicle Technology World Expo to announce it has started up a new program, where manufacturers and developers of components, technology and software can contribute to VSI’s new Ford Fusion research vehicle.
VSI tests and validates technology and then promotes it to other companies for integrating into their new projects.
The company has brought the vehicle to Autonomous Vehicle Technology World Expo to boost exposure of the technology being used to garner valuable feedback from the event’s expert audience.
“It’s a great marketing opportunity for those companies to have their technologies showcased on an actual, working vehicle,” said Sara Sargent, sales support engineer.
“We’d like to have everything from OTA updates, HD maps localisation, sensor fusion and path planning.”
The test vehicle will be used for demo rides, and will be making an appearance at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and a few other selected conferences in the US later this year. Companies featured on the research vehicle get a report on how their product performed.
