Michelle ChakaMichelle develops and leads new research opportunities at VTTI. Currently she is working on a range of activities from connected vehicles to parents’ engagement with teen driving and automated use-case simulation based on naturalistic driving data. Prior to coming to VTTI, Michelle spent 20 years at Ford Motor Company, in a variety of positions centered on vehicle safety. Most recently she managed the Automotive Safety Office’s Advance Rulemaking and Strategy department, where she led the development and delivery of Ford’s corporate safety strategies and policies. She worked with government agencies and other safety organizations to help enhance motor vehicle safety in areas ranging from crashworthiness, to cybersecurity and autonomous vehicles.
