At this year’s expo, Siemens Digital Industries will present the latest in its Simcenter portfolio, which is constantly being developed to be able to manage ever more complex scenarios for virtual testing. Siemens will showcase a framework for massive MIL testing of ADAS and AV performance, automating the process of running very large sets of scenarios and scenario variants. The framework connects data management, test automation and results post-processing capabilities into a seamless workflow.
For the execution, highly accurate simulation solutions are coupled to model the chassis and powertrain, the sensors and the environment. This setup gives users the possibility of exchanging component models with different fidelity levels. This kind of cross-domain systems engineering and simulation can avoid costly changes in later stages if it is implemented in the early phases of product development.
Siemens’ wide portfolio of testing technology allows test engineers to close the loop and follow up the simulation with real-world testing, combining the results of the virtual testing with those obtained on a physical proving ground.
