To demonstrate how AV functions can be validated by means of sensor-realistic simulations, dSpace has developed the highly scalable Scalexio real-time system and the Environment Sensor Interface Unit, which enables the time-correlated feed-in of raw sensor data. Solutions such as these make it possible to run several million test kilometers faster than in real time, drastically shortening development cycles. dSpace will demonstrate how this can be done even before HIL tests or real test drives are carried out, with a software-in-the-loop simulation on a PC cluster.
The company also offers solutions for the testing and development of radar. The new product family called dSPACE Automotive Radar Test Systems (DARTS) includes products tailored to the entire value chain, from sensor testing by chip manufacturers to hardware-in-the-loop validation and end-of-line testing of vehicles by automobile manufacturers.
