To capture and store the massive amounts of data that are generated during automotive testing (especially with AV and ADAS testing), Quantum has developed StorNext. This data storage solution is designed to provide a combination of performance, low-cost capacity and accessibility for engineering and research teams that require high-performance access to their data. This should allow organizations to create balanced storage architectures that can accelerate the ingest phase of this data from car to data center, as well as preserve it more cost effectively over its lifecycle.
In addition to StorNext itself, Quantum will also showcase a number of ancillary DAQ technologies. Powered by StorNext, the Xcellis shared storage appliance enables organizations to access content across thousands of clients. It makes the different storage media – the high-performance disk, object storage, tape and the public cloud – behave as one seamless, easy-to-manage storage environment.
Quantum’s Mobile Storage is designed specifically for mobile and remote capture of video and other IoT sensor data. It simplifies data ingestion from test vehicles by automating the process of offloading data to a StorNext shared storage environment. This way, it extends Quantum’s workflow solution to provide the easiest and most seamless method for managing data through its entire life cycle.
