At Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo, Nira Dynamics will show how its technology can make AVs safer. Firstly, it does this with improved navigation and hazard warnings. Thanks to its RSI road surface information technology, which uses advanced sensor fusion rather than cameras to determine the road’s condition, Nira’s technology can improve ETA accuracy and calculate alternative routes based on the safest route and warnings of slippery roads.
RSI can also be used to adapt the vehicle’s chassis to improve performance when the road is slippery or rough. Finally, the real-time HD road friction and friction forecasting will enable autonomy and ADAS functions in winter conditions. Vehicle distance optimization, routing, and dynamic ADAS functions are the first steps to a safe AV.
