Alfamation – Flexmedia XM

Alfamation, a leading provider of state-of-the-art turnkey test and measurement solutions, recently introduced Flexmedia XM, a family of extremely compact instrumentation modules powered and connected via PoE (Power over Ethernet). Flexmedia XM modules can be used to build flexible, scalable, customized functional testers for production testing with ease, lowering the total test cost.

Flexmedia XM modules will be presented for the first time at ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo in San Jose.

According to the company, the new modules are ideally suited for test applications in the automotive industry, including ADAS, AV, sensors, infotainment, audio, video and battery management.

Flexmedia XM offers a family of building blocks to create modular, customized test systems that are easy to design, deploy, use, maintain and reuse. Their compact size makes it much easier to place the modules close to the DUT (device under test) in a production line, thus guaranteeing signal integrity and ensuring higher performance.

“Instead of having modules of different sizes to build a test system, we wanted a very compact and reliable format – and as there was no standard solution already available, we created our own,” explained Mauro Arigossi, CEO of Alfamation. “Flexmedia XM is inherently scalable, making it easy and cost-effective to add new features or channels.”
